Here are some interactive flash animations presented. They are related to the understanding of the oceans or oceanography.

Marine science is a wide field for research and it is sometimes hard to explain to the public how we do our research. Completely independent on our special field of work, a lot of marine researchers (Biology, Chemistry, Oceanography) use moorings. And how a mooring looks like and what kind of instruments are in them is shown here. Included are a deep sea mooring and a telemetry mooring, explaining how the data gets from the instrument into the internet. All these animations are done by Sunke Schmidt. Thank you very much for this great job!

Here you can discover interactively the structure of deep sea moorings. Discover how data from a telemetry mooring gets into the internet.
