What a busy trip. We hiked more than 350km in this terrain to do our elephant seal beach counts! The average walk was about 20km long and
included two 700m ridges. Luckily we have our crampons and ice axes. Well, I lost a couple of kilogramms, which is not a bad thing and I feel much better!
However, I managed to get a couple of QSOs in, although definetly not as much as I wanted! Again the vertical was taken down!
This time, the reindeer used the guy lines to scratch their antlers and some got a bit entangled and took the vertical down. Reindeer are fine! No ropes in their antlers, but the vertical
was not usable and I did't want to put it up again (as a danger for animals).
Why am I talking about reindeer all the time? Well, as you see on the pictures, they come really close and are everywhere.
Luckily, I didn't had to care about fur seals this time, as they are mostly out at sea.
